Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley, SSPTV and Hearts in Harmony are sponsoring a community chorus that focuses on providing a social and comfortable environment for seniors to share in the gift of music through singing. Although the focus is on seniors with dementia and their caregivers, no senior will be turned away. All Seniors are welcome. No experience required. Saturday Rehearsals from 1:30 - 3:30 PM beginning on February 11, 2017. Registration fee applies.

Since 1980 families and physicians in the San Ramon and Tri-Valley area have turned to this organization for quality, compassionate care at the end of life. Volunteers are needed for office duties, home care, grief support, Voices of Hope choir, and special events throughout the year.
Licensed cosmetologists, patient visitors , musicians and singers (who will bring music to the patients bedside) are currently needed.

Hope Hospice Inc. offers a variety of free grief support groups throughout the year here in the Tri-Valley. Prior to joining a support group Hope Hospice requires that you participate in a meeting with a Grief Support Provider to determine whether their services can meet your need. Adult Grief Journeys Groups are eight week sessions and provide a way to explore grief in a safe and supportive environment. Sessions include sharing, coping strategies, exploring memories and discovering hope and meaning. The six-week Children and Teens Support Groups sessions (Age 6-17) provide a safe and nurturing environment to help children and teens understand and learn healthy coping skills. Age appropriate support groups allow participants to explore their feelings through sharing, creative writing, music, games and art projects.
Enrollment is limited please call to register. Prior to joining our support groups, we ask that you attend an informational interview with a Grief Support Provider.

The Tri-Valley Haven provides a mobile food pantry service to seniors in Livermore. Recipients must be pre-registered to receive a bag of groceries. Proof of residency must also be provided. The bag of groceries consists of canned and bagged staples.

The Medication Safety Program, (MSP) is available to older adults in the Tri-Valley. The program is offered by Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley, (SSPTV) and provides education about the importance of medication compliance to ensure and enhance the quality of life and safety of older adults.
Benefits of the program include a free, confidential, individualized medication review, education about importance of medication compliances, a comprehensive review and medication interaction report, assistive devices, including a pill box and personal medication record and safe disposal guidelines and encouragement for drug disposal that helps to reduce harm from accidental exposure or unintentional misuse.

The Ministry of Care at St. Raymond Church provides support for members of the community who are grieving a loss through death or divorce. All support facilitators have been trained by Sandy Heinisch, a grief minister and counselor with the Oakland Diocese, and a member of the National Catholic Ministry to the Bereaved. Meetings held in the Kids Club room, to the left of the church. Classes run year round.
St. Raymond has a very supportive Spanish speaking community. Many of our facilitators are Spanish speaking.
