The Alameda County Healthy Homes Department Housing Rehabilitation Program serves selected cities (Albany, Dublin, Emeryville, Newark, Piedmont)and the Urban County (unincorporated counties including San Lorenzo, Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Foothill Knolls, Fairview and Sunol). Housing rehabilitation grant and loan services are available to qualified individuals. Eligibility, application guidelines and applications are available for both homeowners and tenants on-line. Occupants must be low-income to be eligible for grant and loan program. See income chart and program restrictions. The Alameda County Community Development Agency's Healthy Homes Department Housing Rehabilitation Program includes: Minor Home Repair Grants (including mobile homes), Accessibility Improvement Grants, Paint Grants, and Housing Rehabilitation Loans.

Alameda Health System (Highland General Hospital, Fairmont Hospital, San Leandro Hospital, Alameda Hospital, John George Psychiatric Hospital, Ambulatory Wellness Center) Senior Day Treatment Services provide specialized mental health services for Seniors. They provide day treatment services for seniors who are struggling with mental illness and adjustment issues associated with later life in a supportive milieu that focuses on building skills. OPS offers psychiatric intake assessment, daily group therapy, regular visits with a psychiatrist, weekly visits with a therapist, mediation evaluation, as needed nursing follow up on medical issues, lunch and transportation. ClutterLess, (CL) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, peer based, SELF- HELP SUPPORT GROUP for people who want to change their cluttering behavior on a deeper level than learning how to organize. Support meetings are free, however a voluntary donation of $3 to $ 5 is appreciated. By attending regular support meetings, we maintain decluttering momentum and talk about why we clutter and learn from others how they overcame the same challenges.

Community Resources for Independent Living, (CRIL) is a peer-based organization that advocates and provides resources for people with disabilities to improve lives and make communities fully accessible. Services include (see website for list of complete programs):
Information and Referral ( I & R): CRIL is not only a centralized resource for disability-related questions, it is a link to many resources in Alameda County.
Housing Assistance: CRIL assists in how to look for housing, keeps a current list of available rentals and hosts weekly Housing Information Workshops in Hayward and monthly workshops in its branch office locations. CRIL does not own housing or run its own residential facility.
Personal Assistant Referral: Part of the internet Alameda County QuickMatch. CRIL assists consumers with lists of private pay personal assistants.
Peer Support: Peer Support Groups are offered at three office locations.
Assistive Technology (AT) Referrral and Loan: CRIL's AT Coordinator will assist with identifying most current devices, tools, equipment, and resources. CRIL is a member of the AT Network and one of 12 Device Lending Library sites in California.
Independent Living Skills (ILS) Training: Skills include managing money, navigating transportation systems, and effective communication. CRIL conducts quarterly Disaster Preparedness Workshops for People with Disabilities.
