Rapid Re-Housing provides move-in assistance, short-term assistance subsidies, and connection to support services to quickly transition homeless households to a permanent housing solution.  Southern Alameda County Housing/Job Linkage Program is a 7-agency collaborative program, led by Alameda County Housing and Community Development,  (HCD) provides transitional housing subsidies on permanent housing units, job preparation and placement, case management and other support services to homeless families throughout Mid, South and Eastern Alameda County.

The program serves approximately 47 families at a time.  It partners with Abode Services, FESCO, ESP, Building Futures with Women and Children, SAVE, and Tri-Valley Haven.  Referrals to this program are made by the participating agencies or by calling the Rapid Re-Housing Hot Line at (510) 284-2135

The Linkages Rapid Re-Housing Program also works with the owners of housing units.  In Southern Alameda County owners sign a contract with Abode Services and a lease with the tenant.  If you rent to a Linkages participant, your relationship with that household will be no different than that with your other tenants.  Each family is supported by a case manager to ensure that they are following through on their goals.  The family is referred to services and provided with resources to assist them in achieving self sufficiency.  Case Managers perform monthly home visits, help clients with a budget plan, and follow up on housekeeping and other issues to assist with leasing.
