Dublin One-Day Volunteers Needed – Sept 6 – 9am to 3pm
ONE-DAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED | Thurs., September 6th – 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
The City of Dublin is testing the operations of its Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Emergency Volunteer Center (EVC) and mass Care & Shelter staffing and support functions. As such, we need volunteers to “play” in the during the event to make it as close to real-life as possible to test our staff members on the process of registering both volunteers and displaced individuals.
Emergency Volunteer Center (EVC) – play-act as an eager-to-help spontaneous volunteer by arriving at EVC location (to be announced) and registering.
Care & Shelter – play-act as displaced individuals or families in need of shelter. Functional, special-need populations, and those with animals are welcome.
There will be a volunteer orientation the evening of Tuesday, August 28th (evening hours) which will have more in-depth information on how the September 6th exercise will be organized. Additional details regarding the exercise will be sent to you as the orientation date approaches.
Please RSVP to participate in this exercise by emailing Jennifer Smith at Jennifer.Smith@dublin.ca.gov no later than Thursday, August 23rd.
