AHIP, AIDS Housing Information Project

AHIP is a program of Eden I & R ( 211) that serves the Alameda County community, and is funded by Alameda County HCD and the City of Oakland HOPWA Grant.  Eden I & R (Information & Referral) is a non-profit agency committed to linking Alameda County families with a range of community resources.

AHIP is part of the RHRP (Roving Housing Resource Programs) that assist individual and families who are low-income and at-risk of becoming homeless in accessing and leveraging community resources.

AHIP will assess your needs and make appropriate referral to housing and social services in Alameda County.  AHIP staff work with AIDS service organizations and case managers throughout Alameda County who serve People Living with HIV/AIDS,  (PLWHA), their families, friends, and caregivers.

AHIP also provides housing workshops designed for both PLWHA and case managers.  Focus of the "Housing 101" workshop includes search strategies.  Contact AHIP for more information.
